Programme Summary



Clinical translation of EPSCs: Clinical grade MSCs can be differentiated from human EPSCs which is easier in culture, and genetically and epigenetically stable, and allow more efficient genome-editing to generate modified MSCs that provide better therapeutic potential and further reduce their immune rejection after transplantation.

Clinical grade human EPSC-MSCs will first undergo extensive pre-clinical evaluation for safety and efficacy for transplantation in our established clinically relevant large animal models of heart diseases.

These clinical grade human EPSC lines and the products will be an important part of the Centre’s propriety technology and platform.
